Civic Leadership Institute

The Civic Leadership Institute is an exciting, hands-on civic education program designed for 8th grade students across the Gateway Region. As members of the Bayer 8th Grade Delegation, students will actively explore the roles of lawmakers, judges, attorneys, and engaged citizens as they learn how Missouri state government works. Meeting Schedule: Sessions are held on the third Saturday of the month (September & October) from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. All 8th grade students in the delegation are expected to attend. Special Events Include: YAG Kickoff Night October 2 at O'Fallon Park YMCA; YAG Christmas Celebration Date to be announced; State Youth and Government Conference on November 13 to 15 2025 in Jefferson City, Missouri
